HUMPER > PURRER > PUMPER

MONOCHROME TRIPLE - HUMPER > PURRER > PUMPER

The Monochrome Triples take three selected Monochrome Series pedals and squeezes them into one enclosure. Saving on footprint, connections and cost.

This Monochrome Triple combines the HUMPER-4558, PURRER-mini and the PUMPER-072 to create a really versatile and wide palette of clean, overdrive and boosted tones.

I’ve also added Send and Return sockets on the side of the pedal, which allow you to intercept between each pedal using a TRS splitter cable. That means you can add other pedals between each of the effects, separate each effect for use with a pedalboard switching system and also rearrange the order.

IN = 6.35mm (1/4”) mono jack cable input.

(To input of the HUMPER).

OUT = 6.35mm (1/4”) mono jack cable output.

(From output of PUMPER).

9V = 9V DC 2.1mm centre negative power supply input.

The current draw of this Monochrome Triple is less than 20mA.

I recommend using a good quality regulated 9V DC power supply.

S/R 1 = Send and Return between HUMPER and PURRER.

Use 6.35mm (1/4”) TRS splitter cable with Tip being the Send from the output of the HUMPER and Ring being the Return to  the input of the PURRER.

S/R 2 = Send and Return between PURRER and PUMPER.

Use 6.35mm (1/4”) TRS splitter cable with Tip being the Send from the output of the PURRER and Ring being the Return to input of the PUMPER.

HUMPER-4558 = Midrange Focussed Clean Boost with a 4558 op-amp at its heart and the distinctive character and tonal filtering of the classic TS style overdrive circuits.

But unlike these old overdrive circuits there is no distortion clipping, giving you lots of clean boosting and tone shaping.

You can also adjust the amount of high and low frequency filtering to open up the treble and bass.

The HUMPER works extremely well and pre-gain boost into the PURRER-mini, pushing it into more overdrive and saturation with the ability to tune the midrange focus with the high and low frequency filters.

LOUD = Master Output Volume.

WARM = Amount of treble cut and high frequency filtering.

SLIM = Amount of bass cut and low frequency filtering.

TONE = Internal trimmer acting as the TS style tone control knob.

ON =  True bypass footswitch with ON status indicate by lit white LED.

PURRER-mini = Natural Toned Overdrive that takes the essence of my original PURRER overdrive, streamlines the circuit and controls and manages to squeeze the main character and response of this very versatile overdrive into the tiny Monochrome Series size.

The PURRER is designed to keep the feel and tonality of your instrument and amplifier intact, whilst creating smooth and open low to medium gain overdrive.

As the PURRER-mini has minimal tonal colouration, at low gain levels it can also work very well as a clean signal booster.

The wide frequency range and tonal response means it also works equally well for bass and other instruments, not just guitar.

PURR = Gain/Overdrive

LOUD = Master output volume level.

BITE = Treble/presence

ON =  True bypass footswitch with ON status indicate by lit white LED.

MILK = Internal trim control for the low-end content and bass response of the drive.

PUMPER-072 = High-Headroom Full-Range Booster with a TL072 op-amp at its heart, plus internally voltage doubling “charge pump” circuitry to create a very loud and clean boost with no tonal colouration.

The single “PUMP” control increases the signal level from unity to over 25dB of boost without changing you core tone.

When engaged, the PUMPER also acts as a buffer/line-driver.

This means it will run long cable lengths without any loss of tonal clarity and signal strength.

So the PUMPER works really well after your drive and tone shaping pedals as a master volume boost, but also before driven pedals and amps to push them harder into more saturation, gain and overdrive.

PUMP =  Boost level / amplifier gain.

ON =  True bypass footswitch with ON status indicate by lit white LED.
